We’ve gone back into our archives from the 2016 camp to revisit a euphemistic novelty song written in 1919 by Clarence Williams and Spencer Williams.
Though Clarence and Spencer Williams were not related, both grew up in New Orleans, and their paths crossed on several occasions. Together, they helped shape early jazz and blues, writing some of the most enduring standards of the 20th century, including, “Baby Won’t You Please Come Home,” which we played as a camp song in 2011
