"Black Eyed Susan Brown" was written in 1933 and was recorded by both dance bands and jazz bands including Glen Gray & the Casa Loma Orchestra and Clarence Williams. (Although their photo is on the sheet music above, unfortunately the legendary New Orleans Boswell Sisters did not record this song!)
